I've been a bad blogger for the last couple of weeks and I apologize. I haven't done much worth blogging about - I'm slowly seaming knitted miters that I'm sick of seeing, so I'm sure you are too. I've been sewing down the binding of Gunnar's quilt but I can't post it until it's done. But, progress is being made. Hang with me, if you will, and the pretties will come.
Many things have been going on in the background. Graduations are approaching - both Jeff from law school in 4 weeks and Lindsay from high school in 7 weeks. Lindsay's college decision is looming. Lindsay's college fund is being held hostage by her father who can't understand why she'd want to go to Washington D.C. for school because it's Not. In. California. and that is incomprehensible to him. But this is not the place for that.
I've done a lot of thinking about things I want to do. Playing with fabric. Even cutting things out. Pulling out yarn. And then I go take a nap. I'm tired. Why am I so tired, you ask? Well, because I've been working on a very small but monumental project in secret.
This one.
Meet Quattro. We don't know yet if Quattro is a boy or a girl. We just know that we're really excited about him/her. And Jeff would add that we're happy it's only Quattro and not Cinque as well. This project has been taking priority over most others, as I'm sure you understand. Soon however, the energy will return. We will return to our regularly scheduled daily blogging. Oh, and Annika would like you to know that she "doesn't care if it's a boy or a girl. I just want to be a big sister." Quite the big sister she will be.

i just saw the picture on flickr and hurried over to say WOW! and CONGRATULATIONS! can't wait to see all the wonderful things you make for the wee one, once the energy returns of course. we might have to arrange a virtual baby shower too :)

Wow wow wow. What wonderful news. Congratulations. What an amazing woman, one heading out the door (to Uni), and a new one heading in - you are Superwoman!
I like Molly's idea of a virtual babyshower.
Go and have a nap now.

Congratulations. Good thing you had to babyproof for the new pup. One less thing to do. Speaking of due...when? If you don't mind me asking. Don't worry about your blog, just take care of yourself, we don't mind waiting when there is a juicy baby involved.

Hi there, Quattro. I didn't know you were concerned there might be a Cinque as well. :)
Still, so very exciting. And it really is amazing that you have one graduating high school, with another one on the way into life. Wow. You kind of ARE a superwoman. :)

The Devoted Father does not believe he could handle two small ones at once, hence the fear of multiples.
This fear has increased because of my visualizing the havoc that two of Annika would have wreaked upon the world.
She would achieve her goal of world domination if she only had a clone.
She'll have to settle for a mini-me.
