First of all, I stink at finding great things at low prices. Stink. My father's Nordstrom tastes are very ingrained in me, despite my aunt being a garage sale maven. So, when I found these in Cannon Beach for a price that I was surprised at, I was so happy. Snapped them right up. There are 8 cups and saucers and the coffee pot. Since I bought them, I found out that the coffee pot usually sells for more than I bought all of it for. Yay me! The pattern is Franciscan Pottery's Bird 'N Hand that was produced in the 60's. I love that when I bring it out, I'll remember our trip and the lovely Elise who owns Found in Cannon Beach. Can't wait to see her next year. Its inaugural use will be for the back to school brunch in August with the other school moms. Can't wait!
Random things.
The song New Religion by Duran Duran came on the shuffle feature of my ipod yesterday while we were driving home. I haven't listened to that song in a Very. Long. Time. and I sang every word. Didn't miss a beat, people. What does that say about me?
I packed a LOT today. I bought 50 boxes and I used 7 of them - mostly bigger ones. Craft shelves? Empty. Games? Packed. Books? Mostly packed. I'm feeling good.
Watching Project Runway. Loving the 23 yo guy from Seattle who is addicted to the tanning booth. Seriously? Who tans in Seattle? No one, that's who.
Loving Facebook right now. Lori - I'm going to own you in Scrabulous. I also found one of my very best friends from high school who I haven't talked to since we graduated and I'm so delighted. She's one of the very few people from high school that I truly missed and I love the internets for helping me find her.
Ok - Tim Gunn is on. Gotta go.
